Prometheus has hosted many conferences on applied mathematics organized by company president Jim Byrnes.
These include, two International Wavelet Conferences which took place in Australia, an IEEE sponsored short course on Digital Transform Coding, also in Australia, and eight NATO Advanced Study Institutes. The eighth NATO ASI organized by Prometheus Inc., Imaging for Detection and Identification, was held in July-August 2006 in Tuscany, Italy.
In addition, Prometheus maintains a tradition of sponsoring short invitational meetings featuring internationally renowned scientists and mathematicians at the company's research and conference center in Newport, Rhode Island, USA.
